Safe Abortion Action Fund
The Safe Abortion Action Fund (SAAF) is a multi-donor funding mechanism which supports in-country initiatives for increasing access to safe abortion services. Its aim is to provide small, flexible grants to local nonprofits for policy advocacy, innovations in service delivery, and research. SAAF, administered and housed by the International Planned Parenthood Federation, focuses on the sexual and reproductive health needs of marginalized and vulnerable women and girls. SAAF operates under the guidance of an independent board, made up of representatives from civil society, donor agencies, health professionals, and other organizations working on abortion.
