Coalitions & Task Forces

Pathfinder is an active member of the following coalitions:

Coalition for Adolescent Girls
The Coalition for Adolescent Girls brings together more than 30 international organizations that design, implement and evaluate programs that benefit girls throughout the developing world who are trapped in cycles of poverty. Coalition members seek to influence standards of practice across diverse sectors of programming in development and humanitarian contexts in order to ensure that the needs of adolescent girls are met.

Every Woman Every Child
Launched by UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon during the United Nations Millennium Development Goals Summit in September 2010, Every Woman Every Child aims to save the lives of 16 million women and children by 2015. It is an unprecedented global movement that mobilizes and intensifies international and national action by governments, multilaterals, the private sector and civil society to address the major health challenges facing women and children around the world.

Frontline Health Workers Coalition
The new Frontline Health Workers Coalition is a dynamic and influential coalition working together to urge greater and more strategic US investment in frontline health workers in the developing world as the most cost-effective way to save lives and foster a healthier, safer and more prosperous world.

Girls Not Brides
Girls Not Brides is a global partnership of over 100 organizations working to end child marriage all over the world. Together, we aim to give a voice to girls at risk of child marriage, to defend their rights to health and education, and to give them the opportunities they need to fulfill their potential.

International Campaign for Women's Right to Safe Abortion
The International Campaign for Women’s Right to Safe Abortion was launched on the International Day of Action for Women’s Health on 28 May 2012. In its first year, the Campaign has built a membership of over 600 groups and individuals around the world.

International Consortium on Emergency Contraception
The International Consortium for Emergency Contraception unites international organizations committed to a common mission: to expand access to emergency contraception, with an emphasis on developing countries.

International Family Planning Coalition
The International Family Planning Coalition is an ad hoc coalition of organizations that share a common interest in US international family planning and reproductive health funding and policies and engage in legislative advocacy on these issues. The coalition has a diverse representation of organizations drawn from the domestic family planning, women's rights, environmental, sustainable development, and public health communities.

Partnership for Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health
The PMNCH joins the reproductive, maternal, newborn and child health communities into an alliance of more than 450 members to ensure that all women, infants and children not only remain healthy, but thrive.

Post-Abortion Care Consortium
The Postabortion Care (PAC) Consortium was formed over a decade ago to inform the reproductive health community about complications related to miscarriage and incomplete abortion, and to promote PAC as an effective strategy for addressing this global problem. Individually and in collaboration, the PAC Consortium agencies implement PAC programs around the world, and also encourage technical agencies, governments and donors to incorporate PAC into their own programs and policies as a critical step in reducing deaths and injuries of women from complications related to miscarriage and abortion-related consequences.

Reproductive Health Supplies Coalition
The Reproductive Health Supplies Coalition is a global partnership of public, private, and non-governmental organizations dedicated to ensuring that all people in low- and middle-income countries can access and use affordable, high-quality supplies to ensure their better reproductive health.

Youth Health and Rights Coalition
Pathfinder co-founded and serves as the co-chair of the Youth Health and Rights Coalition (YHRC). The YHRC is comprised of advocates and implementers who, in collaboration with young people and adult allies, are working to advance the sexual and reproductive rights and health of adolescents and youth around the world. The YHRC advocates with key decision makers to prioritize funding and support for comprehensive adolescent and youth sexual and reproductive rights and health policies and practices. Our goal is to ensure young people in the developing world have the sexual and reproductive rights and health information, tools, commodities, and quality services necessary to make healthy and informed choices about their own lives.
