Pathfinder International Training Materials on USG Policy and Legislative Requirements for Family Planning
When Pathfinder and its partners implement family planning service delivery activities with US government (USG) foreign assistance funds we are obligated to respect the laws and policies applicable to the assistance. To this end, Pathfinder has developed a set of training materials that provide clear guidelines and procedures for compliance with USG legislative and policy requirements. These materials include information on requirements related to voluntarism, informed choice, sterilization, abortion, and how to ensure compliance and confront suspected violations.
This training guide provides the information and resources needed to conduct this training.
The following checklists may be used to monitor Pathfinder's family planning programs to ensure compliance with the Tiahrt Amendment, Policy Determination 3, the Helms Amendment, and all other US government legislative and policy requirements.
The PowerPoint presentation to be used by Trainers in training sessions.
This guide illustrates US Government legislative and policy requirements related to family planning as they relate to all levels of programming from monitoring efforts to service provision at both private and public clinics.
