The Right to Safe Motherhood for Every Woman, Everywhere
In this Summer 2013 edition of Pathways, we explore our global work in safe motherhood, sharing the inspiring story of Grace and Benson, a couple living with HIV who were able to keep their baby free from the virus with the help of the Pathfinder-led APHIAplus Nairobi-Coast program in Kenya. The issue also explores Pathfinder's "continuum of care” approach to preventing and managing postpartum hemorrhage in India and Nigeria, with assistance from the non-pneumatic, anti-shock garment.
Under the USAID-funded APHIAplus Nairobi-Coast project, Pathfinder launched mHMtaani or “Mobile health for our communities” to promote healthier communities by using mobile technology to monitor and track the health of pregnant mothers.
