Dolorosa Duncan is Pathfinder’s regional manager in the Shinyanga region of Tanzania, where she manages our portfolio of projects and provides essential maternal, child, and reproductive health care services to women and families living in deep poverty. She joined Pathfinder in 2010.
At Pathfinder, she has led important innovations in the delivery of services in rural areas of Tanzania, including using mobile phones to improve the quality of counseling and access to emergency maternal health care. Before joining Pathfinder, she was the program manager for Tandabui Health Access in Tanzania; she has also worked with AMREF as a community field worker for their microbicides gel clinical trial.
In 2017, Dolorosa was named an Eisenhower Global Fellow and in 2016, she was named an Emerging Voices for Global Health by Health Systems Global.
She has her MSc in public health from London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and her BSS in psychology and sociology from Africa University in Zimbabwe. She speaks English and Swahili.
