Meet Katharine Hutchinson

Katharine Hutchinson is a public health researcher and nurse midwife with extensive management and leadership experience in low-resource settings. She joined Pathfinder in 2016 as our senior technical advisor for sexual and reproductive health and rights.

Katharine worked for Médecins Sans Frontières as a nurse midwife and public health surveillance officer in Haiti, Democratic Republic of the Congo, South Sudan, Chad, and Sudan. She also practiced midwifery at Cambridge Hospital and Mount Auburn Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts.

She holds her DrPH from Boston University School of Public Health, an MS in nursing and nurse midwifery from Yale University, and her BA from Swarthmore College. She speaks English and French.
