Act With Her Learning Snapshots

Pathfinder International’s Act With Her program in Ethiopia partners with adolescent girls to forge healthy and happy futures. The program takes a comprehensive, multi-sector approach—connecting with and building allies for girls among boys, parents/caregivers, local leaders, peers, partners, and providers of education, health, and social services.

These learning snapshots from Act With Her’s first phase synthesize program data, young people’s opinions, and our team’s implementation experiences engaging 13,000 very young adolescents (VYAs) from March 2019 through January 2020. The snapshots take the form of briefs, infographics, and blogs, and cover the following themes:

View resources below:

3. Supporting VYAs in migratory populations

4. Menstrual health for VYAs

The Act With Her program is led by Pathfinder International, in collaboration with the Government of Ethiopia, in partnership with CARE International, and with funding from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Evidence of impact is being assessed by the UK Department for International Development-funded Gender & Adolescence: Global Evidence research consortium.
