IWD 2023 | Digital Technologies: Shifting Gender & Social Norms for Young Women

March 8, 2023 at 6:15PM EST
Salvation Army, Lower Level | 221 E. 52nd St. | New York, NY 10022

This International Women’s Day, join Pathfinder International and partners at NGO CSW67 for an in-person roundtable discussion on the use of digital technologies in health systems and community engagement to deliver integrated, equity-based sexual and reproductive health interventions targeted to women and girls.

We are proud of the work we do at the intersection of gender and technology, such as supporting women health workers through mentorship apps and digital trainings. It is often through digital technology that we reach women and girls with information about sexual and reproductive health and rights, whether it is text messages with contraception facts, chat bots with information on reproductive health, virtual reality that models gender-equitable relationship dynamics, or connecting pregnant women with emergency transport to the hospital through an app.

Together, we will share solutions from the field showing how we have successfully integrated and leveraged digital technologies to deliver equitable health services. Examples will include the use of innovative digital platforms and communication approaches to improve access to contraceptive choices, positively shifting gender and social norms. RSVP here >>
