What We Do

  • Work at all levels of society—including with adolescent girls and young women, their families, and communities—to shift social norms and behaviors that perpetuate child, early, and forced marriage.
  • Develop adolescent girls’ and young women’s agency and intention to avoid early marriage, complete school, earn an income, and access health and social services.
  • Expand and improve the provision of gender- and youth-responsive health, social, and protection services.
  • Work with institutions and systems to ensure laws and policies are enforced that discourage and prohibit child, early, and forced marriage, and to advance policies that enhance the rights of girls and young women.
  • Provide social, educational, and economic opportunities to reduce early marriage and participation in violent extremism.
