Addressing Unmet Need for Contraception among HIV-positive Women: Baseline Survey

This baseline study was conducted to assess the performance of the ARISE (Enhancing HIV Prevention for At-Risk Populations) project in Uganda. The objectives of the project were to address the high unmet need for family planning in Uganda and prevent HIV infections by educating mothers on how to limit transmission to their infants and through the encouragement of partner counseling and testing. This study revealed that unmet need for family planning was lower in the study population than in the general population.
