Deborah De Witt has been active as a volunteer for more than 30 years, with a particular focus on reproductive rights. She joined Pathfinder’s board in 2015.
She began her volunteer work with Planned Parenthood in the early 1980s. From 2005-2011, she served as a director of Planned Parenthood Federation of America. She was vice-chair of PPFA from 2007-2009, and treasurer and chair of the budget and finance committee from 2009-2011. Deborah served as PPFA’s interim chief financial officer from June 2011 to January 2012.
In 2006, she retired from her position as a senior tax advisor at General Electric and tax director of GE’s Treasury operations. Prior to joining GE in 1996, she was a partner at Ernst & Young. She was a founding member of Ernst & Young’s Diversity Task Force.
Deborah serves on the Guttmacher Institute board of directors, and she was elected to the Ipas board in 2012 where she currently serves as treasurer, chair of the finance committee, and chair of the investment subcommittee. In 2010, Deborah joined the board of Island Nursing Home and Care Center in Deer Isle, Maine and was elected president in 2012.
Deborah is a CPA and has a MBA from Columbia University. She graduated magna cum laude from Wellesley College and received a BA with distinction in economics. She is a member of Wellesley’s Business Leadership Council.
