Deborah De Witt has been active as a volunteer for more than 40 years, with a particular focus on reproductive rights. She joined Pathfinder’s board in 2015.
She began her volunteer work with Planned Parenthood in the early 1980s. From 2005-2011, she served as a director of Planned Parenthood Federation of America. She was vice-chair of PPFA from 2007-2009, and treasurer and chair of the budget and finance committee from 2009-2011. Deborah served as PPFA’s interim chief financial officer from June 2011 to January 2012.
Deborah served on the board of IPAS from 2012 – 2018, as chair of the finance committee. She recently termed off the board of the Guttmacher Institute after 12 years of service, including as chair of both the finance and audit committees.
In 2006, she retired from her position as a senior tax advisor at General Electric and tax director of GE’s Treasury operations. Prior to joining GE in 1996, she was a partner at Ernst & Young. She was a founding member of Ernst & Young’s Diversity Task Force.
Deborah is a retired CPA and has a MBA from Columbia University. She graduated magna cum laude from Wellesley College and received a BA with distinction in economics.
