Kidest Lulu is our deputy country director in Ethiopia and the technical director for our TRANSFORM program. She joined Pathfinder in 2011.
In her role, she coordinates the technical aspects of Pathfinder’s programs in Ethiopia, oversees program implementation, represents the organization at technical committee and donor meetings, and provides leadership in designing, implementing, and reporting on our portfolio of programs within the country.
Before joining Pathfinder, Kidest was the national professional officer at the World Health Organization in Ethiopia, and before that, the sexual and reproductive health advisor for East and Southern Africa at the Millennium Villages Project (funded by The Earth Institute at Columbia University). For four years, Kidest served as the reproductive health specialist for USAID Ethiopia.
She has her MD from Jimma University in Ethiopia and her MPH from Addis Ababa University. She speaks Amharic and English.
