Marian joins Pathfinder after several years of working as a photographer and digital marketing specialist in the greater Boston area. She joins Pathfinder’s communications team, though also sits on the Ubuntu team, given her focus on next generation marketing. Most recently, Marian served as an account manager for a digital media agency in Cambridge, MA, where she created and managed social media accounts, served as both photographer and videographer, executed content strategies, and tracked analytics for several large local clients.
Proceeding this, Marian worked for organizations ranging from publications such as Boston Magazine, to national retail companies such as L.L. Bean, to educational institutions such as Brandeis University, providing photography, event support, marking strategy, and social media and website management. It was though her freelance photography experience with National Brain Tumor Society however, that she realized her passion for non-profit work. She joins Pathfinder out of a desire to use her skills and accomplishments — both visual and written — to help create a world in which women have access to the same rights and opportunities as men.
In addition to her professional photography, Marian still finds time to keep up with her own photography, with an online portfolio of her work. Both a US and Norwegian citizen, Marian received her B.A from Brandeis University, graduating Summa Cum Laude with degrees in English Literature, Composition, and Psychology.
