Patricia is a mission driven public health professional who brings over 20 years of experience in organizational development, capacity building, strategy and planning, program development and implementation, and change management in the nonprofit and private sectors.
She joined Pathfinder in 2018 as a Business Development Advisor and in April of 2019 became the Director of Pathfinder’s new Operational Impact and Effectiveness team. Before, Patricia served as Senior Associate with David Kushner Consulting, where she provided executive consulting services including strategic planning, management coaching, and capacity building to leaders of domestic and international non-profit organizations. She improved the functioning of multiple governing structures through reorganizations, training, coaching, needs assessments, research, and key stakeholder/donor engagement.
Prior to that, Patricia served as a Technical Advisor, Health Management for a DFID funded project in Ntcheu, Malawi, where, she trained and coached the District Health Management Team, which managed the health services for 500,000 people, on management and evidence-based decision-making. Patricia also has a background in family planning in the US, previously serving as the Associate Director of Family Planning for the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, where she managed the portfolio of state-funded family planning programs that served women and girls living below the poverty line in underserved communities.
Patricia has built multiple resilient and responsive projects in underserved communities based on in-depth needs assessments, best practices, and robust monitoring and evaluation data. She has demonstrated leadership in strategic change, building coalitions, developing successful teams, and designing forward-thinking governing structures and operations to ensure organizational growth. Patricia was born and raised in the Jamaica and the Bahamas and holds a BA in mathematics and Spanish from Vanderbilt University, a BA in political science from Florida Atlantic University, and a Master of Social Work from Boston College.
