Dr. Sani Aliou has more than 30 years of public health experience across Africa including Rwanda, Senegal, Tanzania, Chad, and his native Niger. He joined Pathfinder in 2014 as our country director in Niger.
Sani served as health sector coordinator with CARE Niger, director of programs for Concern Worldwide in Rwanda, and managed the programmatic structure of Chad’s program for the International Medical Corps. He has also worked for Management Sciences for Health as senior HIV & AIDS advisor for their AWARE program.
He is a medical doctor with a degree from the University Abdou Moumouni in Niger, and he has his MPH from the Tropical Medicine Institute in Belgium. Sani speaks English, French, and Hausa.
