Meet Sarah Lance

Director of Program Operations, United States
“Sexual and reproductive health is such a core part of what unites humanity and in one way or another connects us all. I was drawn to Pathfinder for our rights-based approach, and the belief that we must work toward more just and equitable societies that consistently promote and uphold the human rights of all. I am grateful that every day I can come to work and have the opportunity to contribute to global efforts to improve access to comprehensive sexual and reproductive health.”

Sarah is a seasoned global health professional with strong experience in program management, operations, and proposal development. She first joined Pathfinder in 2010, where she was responsible for managing proposals to our private and corporate foundation donors.

In 2013, Sarah shifted to our program management team, supporting projects in Asia and the Middle East, including project design, planning, financial budgeting and monitoring, and reporting. Now she serves as the director of program operations, where she supports the implementation of global, regional, and country program operations and ensures that these operations are translated into projects that optimize project design, technical assistance, policies, processes and procedures across the organization. Before Pathfinder, Sarah worked at Management Sciences for Health and Advancing Girls’ Education in Africa.

She has her BA in peace and global studies from Earlham College and an MALD in human security and conflict resolution from The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University.
