Madiha Latif served in several strategic leadership roles at Pathfinder, including Chief of Staff to the President, South Asia, Middle East, and North Africa, Director of Innovation, and Country Director in Pakistan before assuming her current role. She has advanced multiple strategic initiatives, partnerships, and programs for the organization since 2019, when she joined Pathfinder as a Program Manager for Beyond Bias, a Gates Foundation investment that enhanced young people’s access to contraception.
Madiha Latif is an experienced systems interventionist. In addition to her technical and management experience in family planning, Madiha is credited with conceptualizing and leading teams toward implementing innovative designs at the intersection of climate change and sexual and reproductive health and rights in Pakistan with support from global donors. She also successfully led a multi-sectoral gender-based violence response in Sindh and institutionalized the very first multi-sectoral response mechanism led by the government itself.
Over the years Madiha has led projects that take an intersectional lens to sexual and reproductive health and rights, and gender. She has contributed to women’s rights legislation, worked with the Sindh Commission on the Status of Women’s, and collaborated with Women’s Action Forum, Dastageer, and Aurat Foundation in assisting acid survivors to access justice.
