Dr. Zaib Dahar is a public health specialist with 28 years of experience providing leadership, management, and program development in the fields of reproductive health; maternal, newborn, and child health (MNCH); climate health; gender; and primary health care. Through close collaboration with actors across local and international organizations, government ministries, and UN agencies, Dr. Zaib has cultivated a deep understanding of Pakistan’s health system.

Dr. Zaib has extensive experience in implementing essential service packages for health; promoting evidence-based practices in MNCH and family planning; conducting trainings on family planning, MNCH, primary health care, quality assurance. and health facility management; and developing performance standards and implementation guidelines.

Dr. Zaib also has experience with implementing innovative health financing schemes in Pakistan’s public sector through the Norwegian Pakistan Partnership Initiative (NPPI), which operates in 10 districts of Sindh province. These health financing schemes included contracting-out, contracting-in, and voucher scheme implementation, and the pay for performance (P4P) Tripartite contract, which was signed by government, UN, and implementing partners.

Dr. Zaib is a medical graduate (MBBS) with a master’s in Sociology and Public Health.
