Dr. Ellie Hamburger is a primary care pediatrician and Medical Director for the Pediatric Health Network, a Children’s National affiliated clinically integrated network. Dr. Hamburger has held leadership roles in graduate medical education and faculty development at Children’s National Hospital and internationally.
Her medical education work in Sub-Saharan Africa includes design and establishment of a post-graduate training program tailored to local needs, participation in a study describing the landscape of medical education in Sub-Saharan Africa, and serving as a consultant on the Medical Education Partnership Initiative (MEPI) as part of President Obama’s Global Health Initiative.
Dr. Hamburger is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. She holds a BA and MD from the University of Pennsylvania and completed her pediatric residency training at Children’s National Hospital in 1984.
