Understanding the Guidance on Allowable Abortion-related Activity in U.S.-funded Programs

We invite anyone involved with implementing reproductive health programs to come and learn more about what abortion-related care is allowed under current United States funding restrictions.

Time: 9:00am EDT / 1:00pm GMT / 4:00pm EAT
Interpretation will be provided in Spanish, French and Portuguese.

On June 24, 2023, the one-year anniversary of the devastating U.S. Supreme Court decision that overturned Roe v. Wade and did away with the federal right to abortion in the United States, the Biden-Harris Administration issued a strong statement on their commitment to not only protect but to advance sexual and reproductive health and rights around the world. This statement also included a frequently asked questions (FAQ) section and clear guidance on allowable abortion-related activity under current funding restrictions.

Join our panel of experts to learn more about this guidance and the life-saving information and services, including abortion counseling and referral, that are permitted in U.S. global health programs.
