In Burkina Faso, Pathfinder works in partnership with the Ministry of Health and local partners to strengthen family planning; sexual and reproductive health; maternal, newborn, and child health; and nutrition and water, hygiene and sanitation services–with a particular focus on women, children, adolescents, and youth. Our interventions are also sensitive to the effects of climate change on gender equity and access to sexual and reproductive health services.
Our programs improve the supply of health services by strengthening health systems and capacities of local organizations. We support the Ministry of Health and local organizations in offering a wide range of voluntary contraception services and comprehensive safe abortion care in line with the country’s legislative framework, to meet the reproductive health needs of women and young people.
