Bonnie New worked as a physician in emergency medicine and public health in Houston before retiring to Oregon in 2009. She joined Pathfinder’s board in 2015.
She served as adjunct faculty at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center for many years, and she has professional and personal interests in health policy and service delivery, environmental health, human geography, and ecology.
Bonnie has served on governing and/or advisory boards of Environmental Defense Fund, Health Professionals for Clean Air, Planned Parenthood, Teach for America, and numerous social service agencies. She has two grown children, and enjoys the outdoors, hiking, gardening, travel, and classical music.
