Country Director
Manish Mitra is the Country Director for our India Office. He joined Pathfinder in 2018, as a Senior Technical Advisor Adolescents/Youth and Gender and led the development of technical materials and project implementation of the highly successful, BMGF funded, YUVAA project, earning him the title of Project Director for YUVAA in 2020. In 2021, Manish was appointed as Director of the India Country office, and since has been providing strategic and technical leadership to the wonderful India team, aligning it to Pathfinder’s aspirations to deepen and broaden our impact in this great country.
Manish over his illustrious career has hands-on experience of designing and managing large scale programmes focused on Adolescent and Youth SRHR and Family Planning integrating gender transformation and innovative SBCC approaches. In addition to program management, Manish has demonstrated technical excellence in the development of groundbreaking resource materials that have been widely used in and outside Pathfinder. Before joining Pathfinder Manish had been associated with IPPF, Plan International, CARE India, among several other local and international organizations.
He holds a Master’s degree in development studies with specialization in Project Management and Organizational Development and another one in Health Economics, Health Care Financing and Policy. Manish is also a Behavioural Science enthusiast with Advanced Level Certificate in Behavioural Science and Behavioural Science Ethics.
