Mariam Hanna is a proven leader with over 20 years of experience working on development issues in Egypt and the MENA region. She is an experienced project manager, with proven leadership skills, bringing project staff together—working in partnership to achieve shared goals. Additionally, she has demonstrated ability to develop strong working relationships with government, civil society, and local partners and communities throughout Egypt.

At Pathfinder, Mariam supports building a portfolio of Humanitarian work in the MENA region and supports several initiatives towards girls and women empowerment.

Previously, Ms. Hanna has served as Deputy Regional Director for the Research Partnership for Culture and Development, a $7.5M USAID-funded MENA regional project, and a Deputy Chief of Party for the National Book Program, a $100M USAID-funded project in Egypt. She has also managed several other projects funded by a variety of donors, including UNESCO, UNICEF, EU, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, among other local and international NGOs and research institutions.
