Chief of Party
Dr. Salomon Rakotovazaha is a medical doctor with over 35 years of experience in international development, program planning, and project management in Africa. He joined Pathfinder International in 2019 as the Chief of Party of the USAID Tubiteho project in Burundi. He has over 20 years of experience serving as country director and chief of party for large and complex USAID projects. In these roles, he built and maintained partnerships and successfully implemented health programs and community-based interventions in humanitarian and development contexts.
Before joining Pathfinder International, Dr. Salomon took on leadership and management positions with various international non-governmental organizations in sub-Saharan Africa, including Doctors of the World, Doctors without Borders, Management Sciences for Health, Catholic Relief Services, Action against Hunger, and International Medical Corps. Dr. Salomon has an impressive track record of health systems strengthening and building the capacity of local partners, with keen attention to quality control and risk monitoring and mitigation. He is fluent in French and English.
