Pathfinder designed the Integrated Family Planning Program to meet women where they are. We implement three tailored packages of interventions—a rural package, an urban package, and a combo package—that address the barriers to contraception specific to these areas.
Project Activities
- Increase contraceptive use by 15% in three provinces by 2021 (leading to 565,000 new contraceptive users).
- Lead the team of global and local partners—N’weti, Population Services International, and Abt Associates.
- Address the root causes of limited use of contraception, including distance to health services, provider bias against young people using contraception, myths and misconceptions about contraception, and gender inequities.
- Integrate contraception into a range of other health services, including primary health care, HIV services, maternal and child health services, and mobile outreach into communities.
