- Ensure young married women and their partners can access and use contraception—with the support of their communities.
- Make sure short-term, long-acting, permanent, and emergency contraception are always available, so people of all ages can choose the method that’s best for them.
- Engage men and religious leaders to eliminate bias and misconceptions that can prevent healthy timing and spacing of pregnancies.
- Support the government to roll out Niger’s National Family Planning Strategic Plan, strengthening its health systems, including provider and health facility capacities to deliver quality care.
Without Fear or Boundary in Niger
Pathfinder works closely with the Ministry of Public Health to strengthen reproductive health services, and expand contraceptive choices among women and young people in Niger. Our programs build the resilience of women to adapt to the effects of climate change. We increase men’s and boys’ knowledge of family planning and mobilize them to promote gender equity. We also ensure gender-based violence survivors can access the timely support and care they need.
