Pathfinder International Forms New President’s Council

Washington, DC, December 3, 2020—Pathfinder International announces the formation of a President’s Council that brings strategic counsel and resources to advance Pathfinder’s mission. As accomplished leaders from around the world with diverse backgrounds and professions, President’s Council members act as ambassadors for Pathfinder in their communities and networks.

Members meet periodically with Pathfinder’s President and Chief Executive Officer, Lois Quam, to discuss pressing topics—such as continuation of reproductive health care during the COVID-19 pandemic and enhancing communities’ resilience to climate change.

“The President’s Council is critical to accelerating the scale of our work, especially during this pressing time for women and girls,” said Quam. “I look forward to working with the Council to increase Pathfinder’s impact in the world.”

About Pathfinder International

Pathfinder International is a sexual and reproductive health and rights organization. Since 1957, we have empowered women to make informed choices about whether and when to have children. We collaborate closely with our partners around the world to address the unmet need for modern contraception, offer life-saving maternal and newborn care, and reach the most vulnerable populations, including those who have been affected by conflict, climate change, and natural disasters. Taken together, our programs empower millions of women, men, and young people to choose their own paths forward.
